KSAEU students and teachers strengthen English skills via ACTI-K²

English language courses are currently being held at Kherson State Agrarian and Economic University as part of the international project “Academic Cooperation and Teaching Initiative Kiel–Kherson” (ACTI-K²), implemented in cooperation with Kiel University and supported by the DAAD and the German Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR).

The training is designed to improve the language competence of both students and teachers from various fields of study. Participants gain the skills needed for academic mobility, international educational programmes, joint research initiatives, and teaching in English. Strengthening English communication skills also helps the university community integrate more confidently into the global academic space.

The courses welcome learners with different levels of English proficiency and focus on developing speaking abilities, expanding academic and professional vocabulary, and improving reading, listening, and writing skills. They also prepare participants for English-taught courses, international projects, and professional communication. Special attention is given to real-world academic tasks, such as presenting research results, participating in scholarly discussions, and preparing academic documents.

The programme is delivered through interactive online sessions, making it accessible to students and teachers regardless of their location. This flexible format allows participants to combine their studies, research, and professional responsibilities while engaging in dynamic and practical language training. Regular group discussions, collaborative tasks, and feedback from instructors create a supportive and engaging learning environment.

In addition, the initiative contributes to strengthening academic cooperation between KSAEU and Kiel University. Joint efforts within the ACTI-K² project support the development of high-quality educational opportunities, encourage intercultural exchange, and foster long-term partnerships between the institutions.
