On February 27, the Profiboom 2026 career event brought together students, alumni, and employers to foster professional exchange and career development. The event aimed to create a platform for career orientation, networking, and the sharing of professional experiences. Participants also had the opportunity to establish valuable contacts within their respective fields.
More than 150 prospective students and young professionals gained inspiration and practical insights from 28 speakers. Through presentations and discussions, participants received valuable guidance to help them shape their future career paths with greater confidence.

International Experience and Career Development
Among the participants were CAU staff members and contributors to the DAAD-supported DUHN AKTI-K² project, Vladyslaw Nowak and Olena Smolinkina. During their presentation, they shared their personal academic and professional journeys, describing their development from students to their current positions at CAU.
They also highlighted their involvement in the international AKTI-K² project and demonstrated how international academic cooperation can open new perspectives and create professional opportunities. Their stories illustrated how academic support programs can positively influence educational paths and career development.
The Impact of International Academic Support
An important milestone in their professional development was receiving a scholarship through the joint CAU and KSAEU project “Ukraine Digital 2022: Ensuring Academic Success in Times of Crisis – Teaching Cooperation Kherson–Kiel,” implemented with DAAD support.
For both scholarship holders, this support represented more than financial assistance. It provided them with the opportunity to continue their studies during wartime, maintain academic continuity, and further develop their professional goals.
Lasting Results and Future Perspectives
Today, the long-term impact of the 2022 project is clearly visible. Its influence extends beyond its formal duration and continues through the achievements of its participants and the ongoing development of international academic cooperation.
The DAAD’s support for Ukrainian students once again demonstrates the importance of strategic investment in education and international collaboration. Such initiatives create sustainable results and help shape future opportunities, even in times of crisis.
