As part of the ACTI-K² Summer School 2026, supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and jointly organised by Kherson State Agrarian and Economic University (KSAEU) and Kiel University (CAU), participants attended a lecture series on programming with R delivered by Dr. Anna Titova, Head of the Interdisciplinary Centre for Statistics at CAU and one of the main organisers of Summer School 2026.

Developing Data Science Skills
Throughout the lecture series, participants were introduced to the fundamentals of programming with R and its applications in statistics, data analysis and data science. The sessions combined theoretical explanations with practical exercises, allowing students to strengthen their analytical and computational skills while gaining experience working with data.
From Data to Insights
The lecture series highlighted the importance of data processing, visualisation and statistical thinking in modern research and professional practice. Participants explored how data can be organised, analysed and transformed into meaningful information that supports evidence-based decision-making across different fields. The practical nature of the sessions encouraged active participation and provided valuable opportunities to apply newly acquired knowledge in a hands-on learning environment.
We sincerely thank Dr. Anna Titova for her dedication, expertise and valuable contribution to the ACTI-K² Summer School 2026. Through her lecture series, participants gained important knowledge and practical skills that will support their future academic and professional development.
