In December 2025, the ACTI-K² cooperation between Kiel University (CAU) and Kherson State Agrarian and Economic University (KSAEU) included English courses at KSAEU. The programme was designed to support students and teaching staff in academic study, research and international exchange.

English for academic and professional tasks
The courses welcomed participants with different levels of English and focused on speaking, academic and professional vocabulary, reading, listening and writing. Practical tasks included presenting research results, joining academic discussions and preparing documents.
The training aimed to help participants prepare for academic mobility, English-taught courses, joint research and professional communication.
Flexible online learning
Students could attend the courses free of charge. Interactive online sessions allowed participants to combine language learning with study, research and professional responsibilities. Group discussions, collaborative tasks and feedback from instructors formed part of the teaching approach.
We thank the instructors and colleagues at CAU and KSAEU for organising the language training. “Academic Cooperation and Teaching Initiative Kiel-Kherson” (ACTI-K²) is supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the German Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR). Their support helps the universities provide this academic language-learning programme.
