On March 6, the academic community of the Kherson State Agrarian and Economic University had a great opportunity to discuss the practical applications of the scientific method, data selection, preliminary analysis, and the structure of the research process during an online lecture by the head of the Interdisciplinary Center for Statistics of the Kiel University, Dr. Anna Titova.

The lecture could be attended by students and teachers of KSAEU. During the lecture Dr. Anna Titova drew attention to important aspects of conducting scientific research, such as: research structure, data collection and publication of the obtained results.
Attendees had their interest drawn to such issues as trustworthiness of information, data analysis and interpretation of numerical results. Also, a discussion about validation of a scientific hypothesis developed afterwards.

This virtual exchange became not only an opportunity to gain knowledge on data selection and analysis but also an important insight into teaching methods in German universities.
