On December 10, the final lecture in the event series on Ukraine took place, concluding the program. The lecture featured Dr. Ulf Kämpfer, Mayor of Kiel, who spoke on the city partnership between Kherson and Kiel, and Prof. Dr. Kai Carstensen, Professor of Econometrics and organiser of the series, who discussed the partnership between Christian-Albrecht University (CAU) and Kherson State Agrarian and Economic University (KSAEU).

The Mayor of Kiel, Dr. Ulf Kämpfer, spoke about the initiatives of local government authorities in Kiel regarding assistance to the partner city of Kherson, presented practical cases of international support implementation, as well as projects for the development of the socio-economic sector and education. He emphasised the importance of such cooperation and the intention to expand it in the future.
Dr. Ulf Kämpfer noted that such cooperation between the cities became possible thanks to the successful collaboration between KSAEU and CAU. The activities of KSAEU in training qualified specialists and supporting international initiatives have a significant impact on the development of international cooperation. The students of KSAEU had the opportunity to speak personally with the Mayor and ask questions.

Prof. Dr. Kai Carstensen spoke about the cooperation between CAU and KSAEU and the results achieved. He noted that university collaboration is an excellent example of how science and education can be effective tools for developing international relations and supporting socio-economic initiatives. Such joint projects not only strengthen the ties between educational institutions but also create strong connections between countries, promoting the exchange of experiences, knowledge, and cultural values.
