The ACTI-K² Summer School, supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and jointly organised by Kherson State Agrarian and Economic University (KSAEU) and Kiel University (CAU), brings participants together to work in teams on real, data-driven projects. A key feature of the programme is that students are not only analysing existing datasets but are also collecting data themselves, gaining hands-on experience with the entire research process.

Hands-on Data Science Experience
From formulating research questions and gathering data to analysing results and preparing presentations, participants are developing practical skills that are essential for modern data science. This approach makes learning more engaging and meaningful, helping students better understand the challenges and opportunities of working with real-world data.
Collaboration and Skill Development
The collaborative project work encourages critical thinking, teamwork, and creativity. Students learn to communicate effectively within their teams, combine different perspectives and apply data-driven methods to solve complex problems.
From Data to Insights
These experiences help participants transform raw data into valuable insights and evidence-based conclusions. By the end of the programme, each team will present the story revealed by their data, demonstrating both their analytical results and their ability to communicate findings clearly and effectively.
