On 27 November 2024, three students of Kherson State Agrarian and Economic University (KSAEU) received certificates for the “Kiel City Scholarship 2024” at Kiel’s historic town hall. The recipients were Apollinariia Kaprelova and Kristina Skibina, students of Public Administration, Law, and Humanities, along with Alona Mykytas, a student of Social and Behavioral Sciences.

Meeting the City President
Bettina Aust, President of the City Council, congratulated the students and spoke with them about their studies at KSAEU, their future plans and the university’s support.

She highlighted Kiel’s international partnerships, including its cooperation with Kherson. A guided tour introduced the students to the history of the town hall and included a visit to the tower.

Support for studying in Kiel
We thank the City of Kiel for funding the scholarships and welcoming the students. The cooperation between Kiel University (CAU) and KSAEU supports their participation in academic exchange and their experience of studying at the partner university.
Alongside these city-funded scholarships, the wider teaching cooperation is supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) through Ukraine Digital, with funding from the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). We thank these funders and colleagues at both universities for their continued work on the academic partnership.
