On 12 May, an organisational meeting was held with participants of the Summer School within the framework of the German-Ukrainian University Network (DUHN) project “Academic Cooperation and Teaching Initiative Kiel–Kherson” (ACTI-K²).

The Summer School in statistics and data science is jointly organised by Kherson State Agrarian and Economic University (KSAEU) and Kiel University with the support of DAAD. During the meeting, project coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tetiana Skibina and project manager Vladyslav Novak presented the programme and introduced the main academic and organisational aspects of the upcoming activities in Kiel.
Prof. Dr. Oleksandr Averchev, project coordinator from KSAEU, highlighted the importance of international academic cooperation and students’ participation in international educational initiatives. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Olena Kan, Head of the Academic and Educational Affairs Department, also emphasised the significance of academic mobility, intercultural communication and language practice for students’ professional development.
Academic Programme and Activities
During their two-week stay in Kiel, participants will attend lectures and workshops prepared by professors at Kiel University. The programme includes interactive tasks, practical activities in statistics and data science, collaborative German-Ukrainian projects and cultural events organised by Kiel University.
All selected students will receive scholarships, as well as full coverage of travel and accommodation expenses, ensuring complete financial support for participation in the programme.
Strengthening International Cooperation
The Summer School aims to provide students with valuable international experience, strengthen academic cooperation between the partner universities and create an engaging learning environment in an international context.
