On 9 October 2023, Kiel University (CAU) and Kherson State Agrarian and Economic University (KSAEU) launched the Quantitative Analysis course for KSAEU students as part of their online academic mobility programme.
Joint teaching and quantitative methods
Teachers from KSAEU and CAU’s Institute for Statistics and Econometrics developed the course together, linking the subject expertise and teaching programmes of the two universities.
Course structure and outcomes
The course combines lectures, practical classes, tutorials and consultations. During the course, students will acquire theoretical knowledge and modern database processing tools, in particular, Big Data. After successful completion of the course, students will receive a certificate for academic mobility, which will confirm their level of knowledge.
December 2023 follow-up: At a joint seminar on 21 and 22 December 2023, participants presented research on topics including stock-price forecasting, gender inequality and analysis using Google Trends.
