As part of the cooperation between Kiel University (CAU) and Kherson State Agrarian and Economic University (KSAEU), English language courses organised within ACTI-K² are helping KSAEU students and academic staff develop their language skills for international study, teaching and research.

Developing confidence in international communication
The courses focus on improving English language proficiency, developing spoken communication skills and overcoming language barriers. Their aim is to help participants engage more confidently in international educational and research activities.
For students, stronger English skills can support participation in academic mobility programmes and help them navigate an international learning environment.
For academic staff, language learning supports professional development and communication with colleagues abroad. It can also facilitate research cooperation, the exchange of teaching practices and participation in international academic initiatives.
Supporting German-Ukrainian academic cooperation
By combining language learning with opportunities for academic exchange, the initiative supports the wider partnership between CAU and KSAEU. It helps prepare members of the university community to share expertise and take part in collaborative educational and research activities.
The courses are organised within the project “Academic Cooperation and Teaching Initiative Kiel-Kherson” (ACTI-K²), which forms part of the German-Ukrainian University Network (DUHN). The project is supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), with funding from the German Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR).
